Sermon Title : Encounter Encourage Engage : Enough for Today Rev . Chris Neikirk
Basic Theme : “ Encounter Encourage Engage ” is a sermon series focusing on experiencing God ’ s presence , receiving God ’ s encouragement as we seek to encourage others , and actively engaging in God ’ s mission . This series emphasizes deepening personal faith through encounters with God , finding strength and hope in God ’ s promises , and translating that empowerment into meaningful action within our community of faith and beyond the walls of the church .
Sermon Snapshot ( Key Points ): As they were prone to do , the Israelites grumbled against Moses and God because of the lack of food in the desert . So , God provides quail in the evening and manna in the morning , instructing them to only gather enough for today . Despite this , some collect more than necessary , but the excess spoils by morning . This teaches reliance on God ’ s daily provision and trust in God ’ s sustenance . The lesson emphasizes “ Enough for Today ,” discouraging hoarding and fostering a daily dependence on divine grace and provision .
So What ? What can we learn from this encounter with God ? How can we live as people who rely on God to provide for our needs amid the difficulties of life ? Will you seek to be an encouragement to others as they endure life ’ s struggles ? Will we take our faith , hope , and light beyond the walls of our church as we seek to engage our community ?

Tell them , ‘ At twilight you will eat meat , and in the morning you will be filled with bread . Then you will know that I am the LORD your God .’” 13 That evening quail came and covered the camp , and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp . 14 When the dew was gone , thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor . 15 When the Israelites saw it , they said to each other , “ What is it ?” For they did
11:11am Service Information : not know what it was . Moses said to them , “ It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat . 16 This is what the LORD has commanded : ‘ Everyone is to gather as much as they need . Take an omer [ a ] for each person you have in your tent .’” 17 The Israelites did as they were told ; some gathered much , some little . 18 And when they measured it by the omer , the one who gathered much did not have too much , and the one who gathered little did not have too little . Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed .
