Trinity Church continues to collect school supplies for Slate Run School through the end of August. Items can be placed in the cart in the Narthex. If you prefer to make a monetary donation, indicate it is for school supplies and we will shop for you!
Items needed: Composition notebooks, folders with 3 prongs and pockets, # 2 pencils( pre-sharpened appreciated), pink erasers, glue sticks, crayons, markers, dry erase markers-especially black, highlighters, ink pens, boxes of tissues, hand sanitizer, baby wipes, zip lock bags( sandwich and gallon), sticky note pads. ~ Thank you from Church and Society
We would like to thank our families for supporting Heifer International during the 2025 / 26 school year. We provided a hive of bees and a flock of chicks to support learning and farming around the world.
Welcome back to preschool! Preschool begins on Monday, August 3rd. Please be mindful of families in the parking area and the drive around the building.
If you are interested in volunteering with our program perhaps as a reader, or make playdough, work on our playground or in our garden, or serve on the Advisory Committee, contact Trinity Learning office.
We have a few part-time spots available in our MW Beginnings class, Three / Four ' s class and our PreK classes.
We had a successful Preschool Summer Camp, serving twenty-eight children. Besides weekly themes for playbased learning, highlights included Music with Ms. Gwyn; visits from the New Albany Floyd County InstaLibrary; Water Days and Bounce House Days; " Snack n ' Play " by Norton Healthcare; a farm visit from Kay Sarah; and Mighty Movers from Dance Motion Studio; We also hosted Paula Fettig, an Indiana Wesleyan education practicum student. Paula is a teaching assistant at Scottsburg Public Schools.
Hello Ms. Emma! We welcome Emma Turner as our newest teaching assistant. Emma has a Bachelor ' s of Education from the U of L and worked at their early learning center until it recently closed due to lost funding. Emma is not only looking forward to teaching at Trinity, but also to a much shorter commute!
Goodbye Ms. Lisa! It is with grateful hearts we say a tremendous, " Thank you!" to Lisa Walker. After dedicating nearly 30 years to the Trinity Program, and several years in early childhood before that, Lisa Walker is retiring from her career in early childhood education. We will miss her laughter, curiosity, drawing skills, and ministry. Lisa and her husband look forward to traveling and spending more time with family.
