September 14, 2025 Welcome to Trinity!
Basic Theme:
Inspired by the hymn“ We’ ve a Story to Tell to the Nations.” This series explores the transformative power of sharing personal faith stories. Rooted in Jesus’ parables— simple tales with profound truths— it reflects how ordinary stories of faith can extraordinarily impact others’ spiritual journeys. Anchored in 1 Thessalonians 1:4-8, where Paul praises the church for spreading their faith story, this series emphasizes that our narratives connect, inspire, and strengthen our community. By sharing, we echo Christ’ s storytelling, fostering a vibrant family of faith that uplifts and transforms lives.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points):
In the Parable of the Lamp, Jesus illustrates that a small light can illuminate a room, just as a single faith story can brighten someone’ s spiritual path. Paul’ s words in 1 Thessalonians 1:4-8 celebrate the early church’ s radiant testimony. At Trinity, your story— whether of struggle or triumph— is a beacon for others. Sharing within our family of faith builds trust and connection, showing God’ s work in real lives. Like a lamp, your story isn’ t meant to be hidden but shared, offering hope and guiding others closer to Christ’ s love.
So What?
Who in our Trinity family might need to hear your story to find hope this week? How can you create space to share your faith story during church gatherings? What steps can you take to shine your faith story confidently, trusting God’ s impact?
Scripture Reading: 1 Thessalonians 1:4-8; Mark 4:21-25( NIV)“ For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you welcomed the message in the midst of severe suffering with the joy given by the Holy Spirit. And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. The Lord’ s message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia— your faith in God has become known everywhere.”
“ He said to them,‘ Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’ t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.’‘ Consider carefully
