ORDER OF WORSHIP | Palm Sunday March 29, 2026 | Page 4

March 29, 2026 Welcome to Trinity!

Basic Theme:
After defeating the devil in the wilderness, Jesus steps forward with one urgent message: the long-awaited Kingdom of God has broken into history. In His teaching, His touch, and His very person, heaven is now invading earth. This series traces Jesus’ early Galilean ministry as He proclaims and demonstrates the nature of God’ s reign. Lent becomes a six-week prayer—“ Thy kingdom come”— as we repent of every rival kingdom, realign our hearts with the King’ s priorities, and prepare to crown Christ alone on Easter morning.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points):
The crowds expect a warhorse; the King comes on a donkey. Their“ Hosanna” is the desperate prayer of every heart that finally sees: only this gentle King can save. Palm Sunday is the collision of earth’ s cry“ Thy kingdom come” with heaven’ s answer riding humbly into Jerusalem.
So What?
Like the crowds, where do you expect Jesus to“ save now” on your terms( e. g., power or comfort), and how can you surrender to His humble Kingdom way this Holy Week? Reflect on the donkey’ s humility: in what relationship or situation can you participate in the Kingdom by choosing gentleness over force, echoing the King’ s arrival? The crowds cried“ Hosanna”— what desperate prayer for God’ s Kingdom to come are you holding back, and how can you voice it boldly in worship or action today?
Do This!
This Holy Week, practice humility like the donkey: choose one moment each day to serve quietly, take the lowest place, or absorb an offense without retaliation, letting Jesus’ gentle Kingship be seen in you.

Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, 2 saying to them,“ Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. 3 If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: 5“ Say to Daughter Zion,‘ See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’” 6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. 7 They brought the donkey and the colt and

placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. 8 A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. 9 The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,“ Hosanna to the Son of David!”“ Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”“ Hosanna in the highest heaven!” 10 When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked,“ Who is this?” 11 The crowds answered,“ This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”
