October 18, 2026 Welcome to Trinity!
Basic Theme:“ Breaking Bread Together” is rooted in Acts 2:42-47, where the early believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. They shared meals in homes with glad and generous hearts, and the Lord added to their number daily. This series invites us to recover that same practice— beginning at the Lord’ s Table on the 20th Sunday after Pentecost and continuing through intentional meals in our homes and at Dinner Church. When we break bread together we strengthen the bonds of our church family, practice radical hospitality, and make the gospel visible in everyday life.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points): The early Christians not only met in the temple courts but broke bread from house to house. Their homes became extensions of the church’ s fellowship. This sermon calls us to recover the gift of hospitality— opening our doors and our tables so that the church family is strengthened and the lonely find belonging. Drawing from Acts and the call to practice hospitality, we explore how ordinary meals in ordinary homes become sacred spaces where the body of Christ is built up.
So What? What barriers keep me from opening my home to others in the church family? How can a simple shared meal become an act of spiritual care and mutual encouragement? Who might the Spirit be prompting me to invite to my table in the coming weeks?
Do This! Plan and host( or co-host) one home meal with at least two other church households before the end of October or in early November.

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. 12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord’ s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.
