Basic Theme: In our fast-paced world full of temporary highs, we all long for something deeper to truly satisfy us.“ Food for the Soul” dives into Jesus’ everyday lessons from the Gospels, showing how simple practices can nourish our hearts and spirits. Just like good food keeps our bodies going, connecting through Holy Communion, soaking in the Bible, communicating through prayer, and expressing gratitude in worship can refresh and energize us from within. Starting on World Communion Sunday, we’ ll experience Jesus’ presence through the Lord’ s Supper, draw power from scripture, engage in heartfelt prayer, and delight in worshipful praise. These practices cultivate a deeper connection to God, a deeper connection to one another, echoing Jesus’ words:“ man shall not live by bread alone.”

In Matthew 4:1-4, Jesus faces temptation and says,“ Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God,” showing how Scripture can guide, inspire, and change us for the better. We’ ll explore how making time for reading God’ s Word brings clarity, comfort, and practical direction, helping us handle life’ s ups and downs with lasting inner strength.
