WHAT DOES CHARLES DICKENS’ EBENEZER SCROOGE HAVE TO DO WITH ADVENT?
The UTL( United to Learn) adult Sunday school class invites all adult classes as well as all adults not currently in any of the other classes to join us during Advent for a series of four lessons based on the book, The Redemption of Scrooge, by Matt Rawle. The first session will be on Sunday, November 29th in Murr Hall and will continue there for the next three Sundays. Sessions will begin promptly at 10:15 a. m. Please join us for an examination of the similarities between the redemption of Scrooge and God’ s redemptive gift in the form of Jesus Christ. These discussions will be led by Dr. Guy Wall, Professor Emeritus of Education.
