November 1, 2026 Welcome to Trinity!
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points):
Jesus has already prepared a place. Our seat at the table is gift, not an achievement. Paul could finish his race knowing the crown was already stored up for him and for all who long for Christ’ s appearing. The saints we remember today— those who finished this past year and those who first pulled out a chair for us— lived the same truth. They made room. They invited. They broke bread with us and expanded the family of faith. Now the invitation continues through us. We keep running our race and keep making room at the table, not to earn our place, but because it has already been given. Every time we share the bread and cup, every time we welcome another, we practice for the great banquet still to come and help fill seats at the table.
So What?
Who in your life first made room for you at the table of faith— and how might you intentionally make room for someone else this week? As we come to the Lord’ s Table today, what does it mean for you that your seat is already secured by grace rather than earned by effort? In what specific relationship or circle of influence is God inviting you to keep“ running” by extending a simple, genuine invitation to belong?
Scripture: 2 Timothy 4:6-8; John 14:1-4; Luke 14:16-17, 22-24( NIV)
6
For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day— and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

“ Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. 2 My Father’ s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Jesus replied:“ A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. 17 At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited,‘ Come, for everything is now ready.’
22
“‘ Sir,’ the servant said,‘ what you ordered has been done, but there is still room.’
