ORDER OF WORSHIP May 18, 2025 | Page 4

May 18, 2025 Welcome to Trinity!

Basic Theme: After the resurrection, Jesus’ followers found themselves asking,“ What’ s next?” Their journey with Christ wasn’ t ending— it was just beginning. This four-part series explores how Jesus’ postresurrection appearances and the growth of the early church in Acts provide a model for living as His disciples today. From encountering Jesus on the road to Emmaus to the formation of a thriving, Spiritfilled community, we will discover how faith moves us from uncertainty to action, from isolation to connection, and from questioning to purpose. Together, we will explore what it means to be Christ’ s church in the world today.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points): The early church thrived because they devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, breaking bread, and prayer. Their radical love and generosity built a strong, connected community. In an age of isolation, we are reminded that faith is not a solo journey— we need each other. The local church is God’ s design for spiritual growth, support, and mission. And we are not just building a church community, but a church family devoted to one another.
So What? Are you actively engaged in the life of the church beyond Sunday services? How can you contribute to a deeper sense of community and connection in our church? What is one way you can serve, encourage, or support someone in our faith family this week?
Scripture Reading: Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25( NIV)
42
They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
44
All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another— and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
