The Witch of Blackbird Pond is a 1958 historical fiction novel by Elizabeth George Speare and our choice for reading and discussing in May. Set in 17th-century Puritan Connecticut, it won the 1959 Newbery Medal. It follows 16-year-old Kit Tyler, who moves from Barbados to live with stern relatives and struggles with the rigid society, finding freedom with elderly Quaker woman, Hannah Tupper, who is accused of witchcraft, leading to Kit facing similar accusations herself. The book explores themes of prejudice, tolerance, and finding one ' s identity. Please join us as Liz Murphy leads the discussion.

🎉 May Dinner Church – Trinity’ s Got Talent! 🎉

Join us for Dinner Church on Wednesday, May 27 for a fun and uplifting evening as we celebrate the many gifts and talents within our church family! This month’ s theme is Trinity’ s Got Talent, and we’ re inviting anyone who would like to share a talent, hobby, skill, or special interest with the group. Talents are not limited to live performances— music and singing are welcome, but so are storytelling, magic tricks, comedy, or any unique skill you would like to display. Non-performance talents as well can be displayed, like painting, photography, crafts, etc. Bring the fruits of your labors to inspire others. Whether you’ d like to participate or simply come enjoy the evening, there’ s a place for you at the table. Come share a meal, encourage one another, and celebrate the unique gifts God has given each of us.
If you would like to share a talent, please contact the church office or Kevin at kevin. horton @ trinityna. org.
