May 17, 2026 Welcome to Trinity! Basic Theme:
Spring reminds us that everything is growing— plants, days getting longer, even us. The“ Grow” series looks at Jesus’ simple story of a guy scattering seed that mysteriously sprouts and matures. God is behind the growth, but we get to play a part. Over five weeks we’ ll talk about growing our own faith, showing more grace and mercy, living with real compassion, helping our kids grow in faith, and building a stronger church together. It’ s about small steps, trusting God for the results, and watching our lives and community change for the better. Let’ s grow!
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points):
On Ascension Sunday we remember Jesus’ departure and His charge to us. He has all authority and sends us to make disciples everywhere— Go! Teach! Baptize! Paul adds we are all on God’ s team: some plant, some water, but God makes it grow. As co-workers with Christ, let’ s get practical— invite people, serve with our gifts, pray big. Together we build a thriving church that multiplies and impacts our world with the Gospel message of truth and grace.
So What?
What gift or talent can you use this week to help our church grow? Who is one person you can invite to an upcoming service or event? How can you partner in prayer for specific growth areas in our congregation?

A man scatters seed on the ground. 27 Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. 28 All by itself the soil produces grain— first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. 29 As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come.”

Then Jesus came to them and said,“ All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’ s service; you are God’ s field, God’ s building.
