July 6, 2025 Welcome to Trinity!
Basic Theme: Our church is a family of faith where‘ You Belong Here,’ united in God’ s love as a place for all. Rooted in scripture, we reflect our shared identity in Christ, deepening our connection through support and welcome. We long for others beyond these walls to experience this love, inviting them into a family that reveals God’ s embrace— a belonging that grows within us and shines outward. Our underlying scripture for this series is Ephesians 4:15-16,“ Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” This passage ties our shared identity to a family growing in love, where“ You Belong Here” invites all to experience God’ s embrace.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points):‘ You Belong Here’ defines our shared identity in this family of faith, strengthened by prayer. Exodus 32 shows Moses pleading for Israel, securing mercy— our family’ s heartbeat. James 5 says righteous prayers hold power, uniting us as we lift each other. Here, it’ s prayers for the grieving or a teen— our collective‘ You Belong Here.’ Beyond, it’ s lifting a neighbor or a hurting world. Practical steps: join a prayer team, text a prayer, or pray as a family. This isn’ t lone faith— it’ s our identity, saying‘ You Belong Here’ with every plea, a love that binds us and reaches out.
So What? Why do you belong here, at Trinity Church? Who can you pray for regularly to show‘ You Belong Here’? How can we unite in prayer more effectively as a church family?
Scripture Reading: Exodus 32:11-14; James 5:16( NIV)

But Moses sought the favor of the Lord his God.“ Lord,” he said,“ why should your anger burn against your people, whom you brought out of Egypt with great power and a mighty hand? 12 Why should the Egyptians say,‘ It was with evil intent that he brought them out, to kill them in the mountains and to wipe them off the face of the earth’? Turn from your fierce anger; relent and do not bring disaster on your people. 13 Remember your servants Abraham, Isaac and Israel, to whom you swore by your own self:‘ I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and I will give your descendants all this land I promised them, and it will be their inheritance forever.’” 14 Then the Lord relented and did not bring on his people the disaster he had threatened.

Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
