July 12, 2026 Welcome to Trinity!

Basic Theme: This series explores Old Testament pioneers whose bold steps of faith blazed trails of obedience, trust, and redemption. Their stories inspire us to enrich our faith through deeper daily reliance on God, engage in serving others with the fruit of the Spirit, and expand our faith family by intentionally inviting friends, neighbors, coworkers, and family into the same life-changing promises. As Paul challenges us in 1 Timothy 4:7-8, we are called to“ train ourselves to be godly.” These pioneers model the spiritual training that builds lasting godliness with value for this life and the life to come.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points): Gideon was called a“ mighty warrior” while hiding in fear. As we train ourselves to be godly, he pioneers strength in weakness: enriching faith by embracing God’ s view of us, serving boldly amid inadequacy with gentleness, and expanding our faith family by encouraging the hesitant.
So What? What lies about your weakness is God replacing with His strength? In what serving role do you feel unqualified but called? Who in your circle is hesitant that you could encourage to step forward in faith?
Do This! Step into one serving role you feel unqualified for this month and invite a hesitant friend to join you.
Scripture: 1 Timothy 4:7-8; Judges 6:12-16( NIV)
7
Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. 8 For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said,“ The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”
13
“ Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied,“ but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us? Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said,‘ Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.” 14 The Lord turned to him and said,“ Go in the strength you have and save Israel out of Midian’ s hand. Am I not sending you?”
15
“ Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied,“ but how can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family.” 16 The Lord answered,“ I will be with you, and you will strike down all the Midianites, leaving none alive.”
