february: food collection month
Trinity will once again partner with HOPE of Southern Indiana to provide food for their clients. HOPE is seeing record numbers of families and individuals at their food pantry this year. For many clients, this is their first time visiting a food pantry! The food pantry at Hope focuses on providing balanced nutritional food choices in its mission to prevent hunger and starvation. The food pantry distributes items based upon USDA’ s“ MyPlate” comprising the following categories: Protein, Fruit, Grains / Starches, Dairy and Vegetables.
The following items are most CRITICAL in the food pantry currently: 6 oz canned Tuna, pasta, canned pasta sauce, macaroni and cheese, boxed cereal, rice, and oatmeal. Deodorant, baby diapers size 5 and 6, baby wipes, shampoo and conditioner. All donations of food and health care items are welcome. Items can be placed in the cart at the canopy door or in the Narthex. Steve Peel will take items to HOPE weekly. Thank you for contributing to this vital community and Church and Society mission.
