ORDER OF WORSHIP August 23, 2026 | Page 4

August 23, 2026 Welcome to Trinity!

Basic Theme: In Galatians 5:22-23, Paul describes the fruit of the Spirit as the visible evidence of a life led by the Holy Spirit rather than the flesh. This four-week series pairs the nine fruits to help our congregation understand, embrace, and cultivate love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We’ ll explore how these qualities aren’ t achieved by willpower alone but grow as we surrender to the Spirit’ s work. Through biblical teaching and practical steps, we’ ll learn to abide in Christ, yielding our lives to His transforming power so that our character reflects Jesus and impacts our relationships, workplaces, and witness in a fruitless world.
Sermon Snapshot( Key Points): God’ s kindness led us to repentance, and His goodness is evident in our salvation. From Titus 3, we see how the Spirit renews us so we can reflect these qualities. Kindness is practical care and mercy toward others, while goodness is moral excellence and integrity. We’ ll explore how the Holy Spirit empowers us to be kind and good not from obligation but from a transformed heart. Discover practical ways to display these fruits in everyday interactions and decisions.
So What? How can I show kindness to someone who doesn’ t deserve it this week, mirroring God’ s kindness to me? In what ways does my life demonstrate goodness and integrity, or where do I compromise? How might practicing these fruits change the way I interact at work, home, or in the community?
Do This! Perform at least one intentional act of kindness daily, looking for opportunities to be good to others without seeking recognition.
Scripture: Galatians 5:22-23; Titus 3:4-7( NIV)
22
“ But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and selfcontrol. Against such things there is no law.”
4
But when the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared, 5 he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, 6 whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 so that, having been justified by his grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.
