DAYBREAK | The Latest Happenings at Trinity May 2026 | Page 2

Continued from page 1 – enjoying the journey
Our Lenten season and Holy Week, focused on“ Thy Kingdom Come,” were rich and meaningful. I am grateful for all the volunteers who served during Holy Week. Our service on Maundy Thursday was simple yet powerful and our“ Lest We Forget” Service on Good Friday was a humble reminder of the sacrifice of our Savior. A special thanks to our guest musicians, choir, and praise team for the way they led us in worship. Easter Sunday felt especially alive!
On Laity Sunday, April 12th, we came together for one service with a focus on music, followed by an all-church meal – we do meals well. Good things happen when we sit around the table together! Thank you to everyone who helped that day, including those who played and sang, prayed, read scripture, delivered the sermon in song and served during the meal. It was good to see so many of you using your gifts in service to the Lord.
We’ ve now begun a new sermon series called“ Grow,” which runs from April 19 through May 31. It’ s a simple nod to this time of year when everything around us is coming to life. The main scripture is Mark 4:26-29, where Jesus describes the quiet, steady way God’ s kingdom grows. The series is an invitation for each of us to grow in our own faith and for our church family at Trinity to grow stronger together.
We’ ll mark several special Sundays along the way— Mother’ s Day, Ascension Sunday, Pentecost, and Graduation Sunday. These weeks remind us how important it is to stay connected. Our gatherings are about celebrating the goodness of God, building real relationships, supporting one another through the good days and the hard ones, and remembering that we need each other as a church family.
I want to encourage you to keep showing up. Come to worship on Sundays. Stay involved in a small group or Sunday School. When you’ re not here, something is missing— we’ re not quite complete without you. These are the places where faith deepens and friendships grow.
We’ re still praying for someone to lead our new Sunday School class. If you sense God nudging you in that direction, please let me know. I would be glad to talk with you about it.
Spring is a good season for growth, and I believe God is at work among us. The invitation extended by Jesus to his earliest disciples continues to be offered to us,“ Follow me.” Will we extend that invitation to others? We may not always know where we are going, but we know who we are following. God is faithful. Therefore, we expect great things, and we are certain we will enjoy the ride!
Blessings!
