I encourage you to continue to stay connected through our various activities and groups. These gatherings are one of the ways we grow in faith and build real relationships with one another. Whether it’ s the Trinity Women’ s luncheons, our Men’ s Bible Study, the Free For Lunch Bunch, the Last Tuesday Book Club, the Trinity Men’ s Breakfast, our monthly men’ s Bible Study, the Young Adult Small Group, Sunday School classes, or the choir and praise team— these are places where life happens, faith deepens, and friendships form. It’ s not just about what you receive from your participation, but also about what you give. If you’ re not already plugged into one or two of these, I hope you’ ll consider jumping in soon.
I need to ask you to pray about something-- starting a new Sunday School class. A new and different adult class is needed, but we need someone to step up and lead it. If you feel God nudging you in that direction, or if you’ d like to talk more about what that might look like, please reach out to me, Pastor Tom or Pastor Nate. We’ d love to see this new group get off the ground and provide another space for people to learn and grow together.
Looking ahead, we’ ve just begun the season of Lent. Ash Wednesday was a beautiful start, led by our Young Adult Small Group— what a gift to have them
2 lead us in that service. And we’ ve already worshipped together on the first Sunday of Lent. Our theme this year is“ Thy Kingdom Come,” and I’ m excited about where God is taking us through this series.
After defeating the devil in the wilderness, Jesus stepped forward with one clear, urgent message: the Kingdom of God has arrived. In His teaching, His healing touch, and in who He is, heaven is breaking into earth right now. Over these six weeks of Lent, we’ re tracing Jesus’ early ministry in Galilee as He shows us what God’ s reign looks like. Lent becomes our prayer—“ Thy Kingdom Come”— as we turn away from anything that competes with God’ s rule in our lives, line up our hearts with what matters most to the King, and get ready to celebrate Jesus as the only true King on Easter morning. Make plans to attend our special Holy Week services on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter morning.
My prayer for each of us is that this Lenten season would be holy and meaningful. Let’ s take time to repent, to let go of rival kingdoms that pull at us, and to live in ways that reflect God’ s Kingdom here and now. What does it look like for you to say yes to Kingdom living this year? How can we, together, do our part to see“ Thy Kingdom Come”?
That ties right into our continued focus for 2026: outreach and invitations. We believe people need God, and they need a community where they can belong. Our gatherings are all about relationships: building connections, walking through life’ s highs and lows together, and supporting one another. Keep showing up for Sunday worship, join a small group or Sunday School class, and make it a habit to be at Dinner Church on the fourth Wednesday of each month. And here’ s the simple invitation: bring someone with you. Invite a friend, neighbor, or coworker to join you for a meal and conversation. You never know how God might use that moment. Thanks again for being the church, Trinity. I’ m grateful to walk this journey with you. Let’ s keep our eyes on Jesus, live out His Kingdom, and keep inviting others in.
I’ m excited for what God has in store for us this year. God continues to be faithful and grow the Kingdom through the Trinity Church family. The invitation extended by Jesus to his earliest disciples continues to be offered to us,“ Follow me.” Will we extend that invitation to others? We may not always know where we are going, but we know who we are following. God is faithful. Therefore, we expect great things, and we are certain we will enjoy the ride!
Blessings!
