Finally – A New Parking Lot
Finally – A New Parking Lot
It’ s no secret, we’ ve needed to repave our church parking lot for quite some time. The Trinity Church Board made the decision two years ago to put as few dollars toward parking lot repairs as possible because it was a“ throwing good money after bad” scenario with a repaving project on the horizon. This vital project will enhance the safety, accessibility, and welcome of our church home for years to come.
The total cost for this Parking Lot Project is $ 201,000. This much-needed work will address years of wear and tear, improve drainage, enhance safety, and provide a smoother, more inviting first impression for worshippers, visitors, and the community. The work is scheduled to take place in late July or early August.
We believe this will be a wise investment in our future— with proper care, the new surface should last 15 – 20 years, requiring only periodic resealing in the years ahead.
This parking lot repaving is a capital project, separate from our regular operating budget. The church still needs all regular tithes and offerings to support our ongoing ministries, staff, and expenses as usual. We are inviting you to give over and above your regular giving during this special season of generosity and shared sacrifice.
We are asking you to consider one of the three paths listed below: 1. One-time Gift – Make a special contribution in July. 2. Three-Month Pledge – Commit to three monthly gifts in July, August, and September. 3. Thirteen-Week Pledge – Commit to thirteen weekly gifts from July 5 through September 27.
Gifts and pledges can be made through our normal giving channels( online, in-person, or by mail). Please clearly designate them for the Parking Lot Capital Project. Pledge cards will be available in the sanctuary and narthex so we can track commitments, project our progress, and celebrate together as we move toward our goal.
Some among us are able to make large gifts, while others may only offer smaller amounts— but every single person who calls Trinity Church home is encouraged to participate. This is a shared sacrifice and a collective act of faith. When we all do our part, great things happen for the Kingdom.
As responsible managers of our resources, we already have some funds set aside for this project. However, we are prayerfully hoping the congregation will fully fund the $ 201,000 so we can leave those reserves invested and growing for future capital needs. One such need on the horizon is the replacement of six to eight HVAC units, many of which are reaching the end of their useful life. Your generous response now will help us be good stewards of all the resources God has entrusted to us.
Our facilities are tools for ministry. A well-maintained parking lot allows us to welcome people more effectively, host community events safely, and continue being a beacon of Christ’ s love in our neighborhood. This project is not just about asphalt— it is about investing in the future of our church’ s witness and mission.
Will you join us in this act of faith, generosity, and shared sacrifice? Please pray about how God is calling you to participate. Your gift— whether large or small— makes a difference and helps us care for the house of the Lord while keeping resources available for future Kingdom work.
If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to the Pastor Chris or any member of the Trinity Church Board. Together, with grateful hearts, let us move forward in faith. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
