Continued from page 1 – enjoying the journey
Our theme is clear: Trinity Church is a family of faith where“ You Belong Here,” united in God’ s love as a home for all. Rooted in Ephesians 4:15-16, we find our purpose:“ Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” This scripture calls us to grow together in Christ, each of us contributing to a family that thrives through love and support. It’ s a vision of connection, where our shared faith strengthens us and draws others in.
In July, we’ ll continue exploring what it means to be a family of faith. We’ ve seen how our church is a place of welcome— where stories are shared, burdens are lifted, and joy is multiplied. Last month, we reflected on our identity in Christ; now, we’ ll focus on how this identity shapes our actions.
How do we show up for one another? How do we extend the warmth of our family to those who haven’ t yet walked through our doors? This series challenges us to live out our faith boldly, inviting others to experience the love that defines us.
I’ ve been moved by the ways you’ ve already embraced this call. From inviting friends to Dinner Church to sharing moments of worship, you’ re showing what it means to be a family that radiates God’ s embrace. I encourage you to keep going. Think of someone in your life— a family member, a neighbor, or even a stranger— who might be searching for a place to belong. Share what Trinity means to you. Tell them about the laughter at our gatherings, the prayers that carry us, or the way we rally around each other. Invite them to join us for a Sunday service or Dinner Church. Your story could be the spark that helps someone find their home in our family.
As we dive into July’ s sermons, we’ ll explore scriptures that reveal how love builds us up and shines outward. We’ ll talk about the small, faithful ways we can make others feel seen and valued. This is our chance to deepen our bonds and open our hearts wider, creating space for new faces and new stories. Let’ s pray for courage to share our faith and for those who need this family to feel God’ s love through us. Thank you, Trinity Church, for being a family where all are welcome. The invitation extended by Jesus to his earliest disciples continues to be offered to us,“ Follow me.” Will we extend that invitation to others? We may not always know where we are going, but we know whom we are following. God is faithful. Therefore, we expect great things and we are certain we will enjoy the ride!
Blessings!
