looming news for april
Join us and bring a friend. You are invited to work on sleeping mats, have fellowship and make new friends in the Mission Depot, room 32, at Trinity on any Tuesday from 9am to 12 noon. Second Tuesday Lunch – On the second Tuesday of each month, bring your lunch and we will eat together after working on mats. On the first Tuesday, come and loom then attend the Trinity Women Meeting. Thanks to all who have contributed to the looming project. It would not be as successful without you bringing plastic bags, cutting bags, making plarn and weaving! Last year, 2024, we completed 33 mats! We have completed 9 mats so far in 2025.

On Thursday, March 6 th, Gwyn attended an Advisory Board meeting at Ivy Tech to support the ECE program in their pursuit of Higher Ed. NAEYC Reaccreditation. On Friday, March 7th, a NAEYC rep and ECE Chair, Andrea Bush, visited Trinity for a tour and discussion of our program and the support we have given Ivy Tech by hosting and / or hiring 15 Ivy Tech ECE students over the last 20 years. Currently half of preschool staff are Ivy Tech graduates. The other half hold Associate ' s degrees in other fields or a Bachelor ' s and Master ' s in Education. We are so proud to have highly qualified and experienced staff! We are thankful for our families who were able to share 170 items for the Hope of Southern Indiana food pantry. Thank you, Steve Peel, for checking on us each week and for transporting our donations to Hope. We continue our open enrollment for Preschool Summer Camp and Fall 25 / 26 school year. A few part-time spots, both half and full day, are still available in all age groups for Fall. Early / Late Care availability is waitlisted. Please contact the office for enrollment information and scheduling a tour. Celebrate NAEYC ' s Week of the Young Child with your young ones the week of April 7-11 with Music Monday, Tasty Tuesday, Work Together Wednesday, Artsy Thursday, and Family Friday. Ask your children how they would like to celebrate each day with you! Thank you to our Hospitality Committee for providing lunch for our staff on Parent Teacher Conference Day. We always enjoy talking with our families about their child ' s progress and receiving positive feedback about our program.
